Formula 1 V10 sound for Tesla
The 19,000 rpm scream of a mid-2000s Formula 1 V10, in your Tesla. Listen to the clip, then hear it follow your own driving with TesRev.
The loudest era of Formula 1
In the mid-2000s, Formula 1 cars used 3-litre V10 engines that revved to around 19,000 rpm. At those speeds the five firing pulses per turn add up to a note above 1,500 Hz: a piercing scream that many fans still consider the best sound the sport ever had.
TesRev models a 3.0-litre V10 with a 7-speed gearbox, an idle at 4,000 rpm and a rev limiter at 19,000 rpm. Shifts are very short, as with a racing gearbox.

In your Tesla
The Formula 1 V10 is the most extreme engine in TesRev: even a calm drive keeps it at revs a road car never reaches. It is great fun for a short burst on an empty road; for a long drive, the Italian V10 gives a similar character at a more relaxed pitch.
Keep the volume at a level where you can still hear what is around you.
