V12 engine sound for Tesla
A dense, silky 6.5-litre V12 revving to 9,200 rpm, played by your Tesla. Listen to the GT and Competizione versions and hear how they follow your driving with TesRev.
The sound of a V12
With twelve cylinders, a V12 fires every 60 degrees, six times per turn of the crank. The pulses overlap so closely that the sound becomes dense and smooth rather than punchy: a silky, rising wail that turns into a scream near the top of the rev range, with a firing note above 900 Hz at 9,200 rpm.
TesRev models a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 with a 7-speed gearbox: idle at 1,000 rpm, rev limiter at 9,200 rpm.

GT or Competizione?
The V12 GT is the grand tourer: refined at cruising speed, spectacular when you open it up. The V12 GT Competizione uses a straight-through exhaust: deeper and harsher, with crackles and bangs when you lift off.
Like every TesRev engine, the V12 follows your driving through an automatic gearbox, with kickdown when you press hard to overtake and a throttle blip on each downshift.

Compare it with the V10 and its harder, metallic howl, or the American V8 and its burble. All the engines are on the engines page.
