Flat-plane V8 sound for Tesla
The clean, high-revving scream of a 4.5-litre Italian flat-plane V8, in your Tesla. Listen to the stock and Speciale versions, then drive with them using TesRev.
Why a flat-plane V8 screams
A flat-plane crankshaft makes a V8 fire alternately from one bank to the other. Each bank then behaves like an inline four-cylinder engine, with perfectly even pulses in its exhaust. The result has nothing of the American V8's burble: it is a clean, sharp scream that loves high revs.
TesRev models a 4.5-litre naturally aspirated flat-plane V8 with a 7-speed gearbox: idle at 1,000 rpm, rev limiter at 9,000 rpm.

Stock or Speciale?
The Italian V8 is crisp and smooth. The Italian V8 Speciale adds a race exhaust: louder, more raw, with crackles on lift-off and on each downshift.
Both follow your driving: the revs climb and fall with each acceleration your Tesla makes, and the automatic gearbox shifts as a real one would.
